Orthotics
An orthotist is a healthcare professional who makes and fits braces and splints (orthoses) for people who need added support to move well. They work under a doctor's orders to adapt purchased braces or create custom-designed braces.
NeuroMuscular Orthotics (NMO) is one of Australia's leading allied health providers in the area of orthotics and specialises in neurological and neuromuscular conditions.
All NeuroMuscular Orthotists are university qualified health professionals and certified members of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA). We have the expertise, passion and desire to assist all of our clients with a high standard of care.
NeuroMuscular Orthotists work closely with Neurorehab’s Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to ensure treatment is manageable and integrated across all stages of life.
When NMO is at NeuroRehab’s outreach clinics in Deer Park and Thomastown we are able to help with:
Assessment
Diagnostic testing
Funding submissions
Orthosis provision
Review appointments.
